I've been gone from home for about 3 weeks, so this drawing has been on hold for quite some time. For those of you who have already forgotten about it, I was giving away a copy of the Quiltmaker 100 Blocks magazine. I had won two.
I am happy to announce that as a result of random.org
"Oh wow.. you have had some very happy mail!
I had found your blog through another blog (happy zombie)...
I've been waiting for our newsagency to get that mag in, it takes a few months for the american mags to hit our stores!
Merry Christmas to you :O))"

Lissa, if you see this post, please email me your address. I realize this is coming from America and going to Australia. Congratulations. I hope you didn't give up and purchase one from your news agencies.
If I don't hear from Lissa in a week, I will do another drawing and will contact the second place winner.
I just got back from a 3 week visit to my family in Colorado. It was fun and exhausting. Yesterday I cleaned a little bit and just decompressed. I felt so tired, I was falling asleep last night at 8pm. That is not normal for me.
Today I am heading to Salt Lake for my choir practice. I am so excited for this coming concert, as we will be singing all A Capella. Sterling gave us one and a half months to prepare for our Christmas concert. We are performing the next concert in April. He is giving us around 4 months to prepare for this one. It will be challenging, I suspect.
My husband commented that he loves when we do sing A Capella because he can hear us better than when we are competing with an orchestra or band. Sterling began talking about the idea of an all A Capella concert after he sent us a link to the Perpetium Jazzle performance of Toto's Africa. I hope we get to perform this version. It is so amazing.
And now, I want to thank those who took the time to enter very first contest, and even though it got only 16 comments, with one who begged off being entered in the contest, and one who didn't give me a way to contact her, I was very happy it wasn't just one comment.
I know I am not widely read, and part of that is my fault, because I have slowed down on my blog entries. I want to get back into more posts. Please be patient as I catch up on the pre and post-Christmas setbacks. I have so many things I want to chat about and many pictures to share.
I want to wish you all a Happy New Year.
