2 cups vinegar
2 cups water
1 Tablespoon salt
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 spear of dill
1/3 clove of garlic
onions (optional)
Mix first four ingredients together until sugar is dissolved.
Pack dill, cucumbers, onion (optional) and garlic into jar. Pour solution over cucumbers, add hot lid and process 20 minutes.
