Two New Yummy Recipes

I was visiting some blogs, a friend of my daughter's (HI Bird!), and I was reading comments on one of her blogs, and I found myself reading another blog who is a friend of the friend of my daughters. . . Jenn is her name. She posted a most delicious looking recipe. I haven't tried it but it looks like a killer brownie. mmmmmmm.

Seven Layer Brownie Bars

1 1/2 sticks of melted butter
1 box Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Brownie Mix
1 cup each of the following:
shredded coconut
chocolate chips
butterscotch chips
chopped pecans
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk

Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan, making sure it is evenly distributed. Sprinkle the brownie mix evenly on top of the butter. Layer on the coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and pecans. Drizzle the whole can of sweetened condensed milk over the rest of the goodness. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are bubbly.

Can't wait to try this one. Thanks Jenn, Bird's friend. . . :D This will probably be the treat we bring on Sunday to the Spanish people we are teaching English ...(I didn't mention our new calling, did I? that will be for another post)

This second recipe is a great one as well. This comes from a girl in our ward who is on the Food Committee for our Relief Society Enrichment Night Birthday Party next week. We will be serving these at that meeting. They sounded so good, I had to try them. And they ARE.

Chicken Roll-ups

3 chicken breasts cooked and chopped finely
1 8 oz brick of cream cheese
1 can mushrooms
1 cup shredded cheese

2-3 cans crescent rolls (in the dairy)

1 cube butter
1/2 can bread crumbs

I put first four ingredients in the food processor and chopped them quite fine. Then open the can of crescent rolls, and flatten each crescent. Put about 2 Tablespoons of chicken mixture on the large end of the crescent and roll to smaller end. fold up sides to make a small package.

Dip rolls into melted butter and bread crumbs and place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake @ 375 for 20 minutes.

fabulous
