I'm trying to be like Jesus

It has been a busy 4 months. I am amazed it is already the end of April soon. Time seems to fly, especially when you are having fun. I spent the first two months of the year making quilts for two of my grand daughter's baptisms. They took place a week apart and in two different states, so we literally jumped in the truck and headed to Colorado as soon as the first one was over.

Calise's quilt is very similar to the one I made for Madelyn two years ago, except instead of pink border, she has purple.

Here is the quilt I made for Lucy's baptism.

The name of the quilt is "Christ's
Baptism: I'm Trying to be like Jesus". If you look carefully the words are quilted into the border.

What are the three Primary answers when asked a question in Sunday School?

Read your Scriptures

 Say Your Prayers
 Go to Church.

 Ohio Block in corners.

I did all the quilting on my domestic machine. It took several days and I figured out about two miles of thread. YIKES! The bubbles around the words took two days. The rest was much easier.

My latest favorite game is jigsaw puzzles online. I made a puzzle out of my quilt for you to play.

You and all your skills! I hope I get another girl so that she can own a quilt like that. They are amazing! I just love them and want them on all the beds in my house. Have you decided what gifts your going to do for the boys when they get baptized yet?

When you told me way back last summer that you make quilts for grandchildren who get baptizsed - I thought that would be a great idea for me to do -- and so here you show your skill to the fullest and I am in awe -- how in the world did you do that last one - it needs to be framed and for all the world to see. Your grand children are blessed greatly - indeed! O that I could have learned more from you before I left.. o by the way those knitted dishrags you showed me still knitting them and giving them as gift too.. you are a gift in my life - bless you sweet friend - hugs

That is a wonderful quilt! My Granny made my husband and me a wedding quilt that she got out of a "Patterns of the Bible" quilt book. She made us a Crown of Thorns quilt and we love it! Quilting is a beautiful talent.
