I didn't know until my savvy sister told me that you can put your mail on hold online by going to this Post Office site, and fill in all the information!
Wahoo! It is always such a pain in the neck when you are packing, hiring someone to watch the cat and the yard to also remember to go to the Post Office and fill out their forms.
Hurray for modernization! I am so glad they do this.

Hmmmm... My mother in law uses our address for her mailing address because she's out of the country so much. I wish she'd use a service like this, but I doubt that would ever happen.
