Product Review

I have another "favorite thing" that I want to tell you about. A couple of weeks ago, I told you about one of my favorite things in the kitchen. Here is another one.

This one is called Henrietta Hen. She is an egg cooker. You add a bit of water, it has gradated wells where the water is poured. The deepest cooks the egg hard, the next is soft boiled and the last is for poached eggs, which I have never used. It has a special divided cup in which to put four eggs to be poached.
She is cute enough to sit on your counter top. When the water is all boiled out, she chirps. There is a small needle that you use to puncture the eggs before they are stood up in one of 7 little holes to boil.

My cute little mom loves chickens and it is sometimes hard to find her something she loves and is chicken-related. We don't always find things that fit those categories. Anyway I got her one, and she says she makes herself eggs all the time. I loved hers so much that I ordered myself one later on when I found it on a website.

Boiling eggs are not that hard to do, but when you have something like Henrietta here doing the timing for you, it makes it even easier. The eggs turn out perfect every time. I really need something that times stuff for me, because I find I get bored waiting for the pan to heat up and later find I have completely burnt the poor pan, so for me this is perfect. Now I know sweeties like HiHoRosie and Yard Snacker won't be interested because they are "Raw eaters", but for the rest of us who still like to eat eggs, you might just love this as much as I do.

Anyway, that is my review today.

Ooh, that looks cool. The girls think boiled eggs are scrumptious. Well, they love all eggs, but they think boiled eggs are a treat. Cool gadget!

Tell me if you come across a nifty yogurt-maker.

We have yet to have one that is soft in the middle or one that has the green iron sulfide (fool's gold) deposit between the yolk and white section.

I usually just go with the lowest tech solution in the kitchen from force of habit, but this little gadget does a great job.

You're funny! And what cute little egg cooker. Never even knew they had something like this. I typically don't eat eggs anymore but did have some recently while camping. :)

yeah, can you believe camping with electricity? Funny huh?! The wonders of a state park I presume. I have gone camping in the rough (no facilities) in Utah too. Girls' Camp was easy squeazy but my last year we did the 50-miler way out in the woods. Wasn't too keen on that I'm afraid. Plus I was spooked because of the storm right over our heads. No thanks!! I do enjoy being outdoors and doing some hiking (nothing too strenuous please). Wow, what a wimp I've become. Oh well. I will say I love the summers in UT and the beautiful canyons. Great place to camp or day hike.

I LOVE it! I'm going to buy one because I can't tell you how many times I've put eggs on to boil, only to forget about them until BJ says, "What's that smell?"

Ummm.. that's what burning eggs smell like, dear.

Oh HO! A Challenge, eh Sam????
I did make some carrot, apple/celery juice for lunch the other day. I kept feeding it back in until there was only about an inch of pulp left. And I ate that before I poured the yummy juice into two glasses. . . but a video. . . ?????
I don't know.
love you anyway
