We have been having the most fabulous rain storm for the past couple of days. It is very rare here in the desert, so even though I have been freezing, I have kept the windows open so I can hear it and smell it. Every time it rains I begin to hear this song in my head that we sang in a CASU concert on 12 October 2007.
Before we start singing, the director says, "Its going to rain"
He is a weatherman for KUTV Channel 2 in Salt Lake.
Before I got the little Flip Video for Sailor for Christmas, he used my little Canon Power Shot A95. It only takes a 3 minute video, so you have to click on both to hear the whole song.
I have searched all over the Internet to find this song to download. Someone said the Mormon Youth Chorus sang it, but I cannot find it. So this is my only copy and it is one my most favorite songs. I guess I love how it sounds like the choir is actually singing a rain storm. Starting out dripping then faster, then a deluge of lots of rain drops and finally as the storm moves on, it ends with some dripping again. I love the rain, and I love this song.
So even though this concert was way last October, my head still sings this song, so I thought I might as well write a post about it.

Hey Annie, to change that comment setting go to edit layout, and in the blog posts section click edit which pulls up 'configure blog posts'. There in the middle of select items it shows the default word as comments in the box. Just type in whatever you want it to say and save it. I've been trying to think of something clever to put there myself because so many people have cute ones like 'love notes' or 'peanut gallery' or 'rotten tomatoes' (a raw foodists blog - lol). I might change mine down the road. Who knows. Anyway, hope that helps!
And you visiting my blog is always a treat too! :)
Hi Dear Annie,
I am glad you love the rain. When BFWP's (that would be us) are listening to the music of the rain, it is pretty special. Of course is it better when the nest is empty and we have a solid roof and a comfy bed....rather than being at LaBaron Lake with 6 kids in a dripping tent. Although that had it's own charms, and I wouldn't trade the memory for anything.
I love the piano in the beginning too. It sounds like the rain just starting up.
It kind of reminds me of my piano teacher, long ago, that used to play the song she wanted me to learn. Each time, before she'd start playing the song, she'd ask me to picture the song in my head. Kind of like she was playing a soundtrack to a movie that I made up in my head. It really made me listen to the music and appreciate it more because it allowed my imagination to run wild.
