I'm sure they learned from example of how much you and your sister love each other. It's funny that i should read this today because I'd written my sis (and best friend) an email telling her how much I miss her and how our relationship has changed. We still adore each other- but now we include our husbands in our decisions (ha ha- a good idea, yes?) Anyway, I got this response back from my sis and this is a great place to share it- considering your post:

Thanks Sis - I sure do miss you! I don't think our husbands have taken each other's place - I don't think anyone could - however, I think their support, opinions, etc are becoming more equal or to a level they should be in a strong, happy marriage. Does that make any sense?

You're still my hero, my inspiration, the one I look up to and want to be like. Your support and opinions and advice and input are still most valuable. This will NEVER change. If I could I'd live next door to you so I could see you everday! ha ha!

I agree that our relationship has always (mostly?) been healthy. Anyone who thinks otherwise, usually doesn't understand because sisters normally aren't best friends from an early age. I also believe our relationship has evolved...naturally. We're both married, so to me that's an obvious one and we also live farther apart and my diet has changed. I believe that can be an issue at times but hopefully, not always. ;) And that is not to imply anything about you or anyone. It's just something that's different.

I love having you as my sister - so extremely blessed you're in my life. I sometimes wonder how different things would be if you weren't. Glad I don't have to know.

I love you to pieces too!
-sisRisibleGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04346813156794934802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2206140233961986985.post-60321409796659103642008-03-24T04:36:00.000-06:002008-03-24T04:36:00.000-06:00I think the best way is to live your life with the...I think the best way is to live your life with the perspective that life is short. I find that I am less upset when something wrong happens, appreciate smiles, gestures, and conversations more, and that my priorities are in the right place when viewed through the lenses of mortality.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11433933951827753220noreply@blogger.com
