I realized the other day, if I don't keep track of time, I can literally spend hours on the computer, reading blogs and keeping up on Facebook.
I decided I needed to somehow bolt my computer onto my treadmill so I can just walk as I read my blogs.
If I just limit myself to walking every time I log onto my computer, how many miles will I walk while I blog and read?
So with three strategically placed bungee cords, I have now rigged my own tredputer.
Granted the connection is veeeeeerrrrrrryyy slow on this little laptop, but it is better than nothing. I can walk 2.5 mph and still read and type. Now I have to work for my pleasure. I have to walk rather than sit on my backside while I enjoy all of your blogs.
I have joined Sparkpeople, which is a great weight loss site and have determined to watch my calorie intake and my exercise. I need a motivation. My second son determined if he stayed on his regeim for a certain amount of weeks or months, he would get a new mountain bike. I think my goal is if I can stay on this until my Birthday, which is in December, I will get myself a faster laptop, how does that sound?
I hope you all have a nice day, and wish me luck on my plan.

Well aren't you the clever one. Yea for bungies. I was just starting to look at all the pro's and con's and you have fixed the problem. Very nice. Love you much.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely could use one of those! how clever you are! kudos to you.
ReplyDeleteWay to go! Love the set up. I think a new laptop for a reward is a grand idea!
ReplyDeleteMe thinks I have a project for my husband and my eliptical :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on taking the bull by the horns and working out, no pun intended, a way to exercise. I watch movies via Netflix while exercising.
I have been wondering whether or not I could mount my computer to read while I am working out. I tried out a kindle device and that worked out well. It fit nicely into the "book" cradle built into the machine.
Good luck with the weight loss. I can totally relate. I am constantly struggling with mine :)
Get a mountain bike too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I had tried doing the Wii Fit stepping any time I watched TV, but I wasn't able to stick to it: looks like you've got more dedication than I do
ReplyDeleteYou know there is a great diet I know of. The one God set up is in the Bible. I figure God knows what we should eat and when considering he made us.
